Future Deleted Experiment of the Present # 23
“Rules For Night Games”
Anoba, risen from silver lit water wearing the reflection
of droplets pooling in my left green eye
like soft youth I hold it calmly a cold marble
uncoiled fingers open, a reflex to clear vision of curves in the pitch
stared upon smiling my last astronomer
We kept til now and still the way a fleet of stars swoon to acapella songs their lovely satellite sings
their promise to shine in silence
immune to broken prayers never sculpted nor poisoned by ear
how We listen and learn picking pears beneath branches spelling out our names in the tails of serpents
in their swell a game of outward corridors opening along a sky of spice and lanterns
You, light and only We see for now the symphony of our nature
O drunken symptoms in positions impoverished by glowing riches
of delicious, improper dreams
manifest maps man made held moving to lead way along Your skin
Your chest by beat and by rhythm of this forest’s breath proof a moon can sweat while singing out by dance to forest’s tangled altars
and chisel out the sin of my right green eye
turning over autumn, a gift to hand to You
offered juices azure, spilled in wooden bowls Your core carved along the sphere and laid at base behind trees with bulbs of light for leaves
We bite and pull into the dawn
and like soft youth as firefly, fiddly to catch
by our rules into night I hold wild You a burning marvel
