Future Deleted Experiment of the Present # 6
“Old Tobacco Fable”
mountain top tobacco smoke
chronicle the monotony of centuries
forgiver of lands the likes of Roanoke
words written in myst contain the stranger side of memories
in the midst of strangers masked in cloak
divide our myths in different categories
submerge your brow so medicine can soak
allowing skin to cool to familiar faculties
paper cut pirates conjure fables of the gothic
restriction in the stables of stallions racing among a marathon of comets
paid for the night we own this room
ignoring broken bone reflects fire bred for sonnets
we may come to know this gravedigger soon
but lying down on this table of contents
we rest like cats in the afternoon

That's an awesome final line. Would you ever upload readings of these?
I really love your work …Kyle…
the imagery that is created while reading and after the words have passed… after reading #1 through #5 I have gone back and reread and in its wake #6 will be reread too… after I tumble some of your phrases over in my mind.. definitely I will be rereading.
